Day Seven

Well, it was hot and muggy and we were wet all day. We took off with a friend of Molly's to go out on Lake Minnetonka. It was cloudy but hot. We rode around a while and then "parked" and soaked up some heat and a little rain. I tried to take a swim but once I got bit by a Sunny, I decided swimming so close to the shore in shallow area wasn't for me. Later, I was told there were snapping turtles in the lake as well. Oh forget it! That's crazy! I don't want to go in there! I guess the key is to keep moving and then nothing bothers you. I'll be just fine on the boat thank you. I thought I had more adventure in me, but, uh, no. Being nibbled on by a fish is not my thing.

I was nibbled on by a tic I found out though. Jason thought he was brushing a spider off of me but I realized later it was a tic. EWWWWWWWWW! I have also been bit by a spider and a horse fly. The horse fly just HURT! When it was done biting, the pain went away but left a red spot. The spider, I didn't feel that at all. It itched like mad though. I just don't get bit by things at home. I know its no big deal and probably doesn't warrant a blog post.

Anyhow, we had a nice dinner at a restaurant on the lake. I enjoyed yet another grilled chicken sandwich on lettuce instead of bread. I had some great steamed broccoli but it had a butter sauce on it which is SOOOOO against my diet. I'm sure my body will pay for that. Almost felt guilty, but I haven't had one slip up - I've only had two limited items also in this entire time. I have had tomatoes too often though. That does make me feel bad.

Alright - so on to day Eight.

Good Job on keeping up with your healthy eating! Why can't you eat a lot of tomatoes? I love those & pop the little cherry ones like candy, yummm

They are high is sugar once your system breaks them down. No fruit- no carbs- and only lettuce, spinach, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms. It's a whole list of "OK" veggies.

Food is boring but like the results.
