We attended a Pee Wee skate last night before tryouts in a couple weeks . . .
Its hard to know what a coach is looking for in a player -
I'm proud of Jase for skating along out there, not competing, but playing as though the boys could someday be his teammates.
Other's exuded so much arrogance that watching filled me with empathy. . . knowing that I wasn't the only one who noticed.
Its about having fun right? Not exactly. It's about raising respectable young community members, taking advantage of the venues available. In our town, hockey coaches are like a third parent 9 months out of the year. It's available . . . we hope Jase will get the opportunity to be involved for a seventh season. We'll see.
