We woke up to -16 degrees. Fitting end to "Winter Recess" I guess. I'm not complaining though. We have had a great time enjoying the local outdoor activities for the kids. They played on the new snow hills that Grandpa built, spent the day at Ice Alaska enjoying the exhibits and sledding, and spent 5 hours on the hill snowboarding. We bowled and we plan on catching a movie Sunday.
It may not be a spring break at the ocean . . . but it sure was a lot cheaper and the kids are so proud of their new skill!
Caden even scored a newspaper article out of it.
The only thing that could have made it better would have been if Jay would have at least gotten his day off to enjoy the outdoors with us.
Today . . . well, we're enjoying a roaring fire and some Saturday morning cartoons. And we're okay with that.
