Yeah, I'm posting my son's hockey GAME schedule. It is essentially OUR schedule for the next few months also. Its a bit nutty. Jason will leave town so soon. I mean, he's gone now - then he'll be leaving again in a few weeks.
And 3 trips to Anchorage. Jeepers. 'Spose it could be worse.
I will have nothing to do with the team this year other than making sure my child gets to practices and games. There are new parents this year,
I know, we say new parents not new players. Its part of making the hockey experience about the parent and not the kid
and it isn't always easy to jump right in and "hang out" with the new families. It isn't even easy to hang out with most of the old ones. There are some we've been with for years (its a small town) and I still can't stand to sit in the same bleachers with them. Others, are amazing people who I am honored to have around my children.
So, back to the rinks - struggling to play well with others - working to keep the player on top of his grades - and balancing home life so all of my children feel loved, safe, and equal.
I'm sure I'll have a few, "Dear Hockey, I hate you" moments so stay tuned. As for now,

Don't forget to give yourself a little time this year also! And Margie has a house in Palmer now so you can always call her up and invade. I'm sure she'd love it!
