At the end of the Christmas vacation, the kids just needed some fresh air. Some fresh -48 degree air. They wanted to go outside and play with flashlights. They bundled up and went out. We gave them a 5 minute limit but they were out more than 20 minutes and when they came in the only thing that was getting cold Caden's hands (because he took off his mittens to mess with his flashlight.) It was a much needed break for them and us. So when your kids need to get out - let them. They are smarter than we think and know when to come in out of the cold.
